[Lily smiles warmly, not uttering a peep about the shaky voice or any possible tears as she passes him the sugar bowl.]

So, not to pry, but this would make Rhyleigh...?

[She trails off, giving him an expectant look as she sips her tea.]

[He swipes at his eyes before moving to scoop a spoonful of sugar into his tea.

The question makes him blush, a silly little smile forming.]

My boyfriend. I think at least, we never got around to talking if we were or not before I came here but we did go on a few dates. And I... I like him a lot.

[Her smile grows, but she tries to hide it behind her cup.]

Somehow I kind of figured. No one talks about a boy who isn't family so much unless they really like them.

I never said it was a bad thing, no need to be so embarrassed. I actually think it's very endearing.

[She matches his smile, trying to stifle a laugh.]
